Volunteers

Serving Children and Youth In A Vital Way

Miramar PAL provides opportunities for over 1,200 children and youth to receive mentoring, tutoring and coaching in both competitive and non-competitive settings. Such activities are a major undertaking and requires the support of parents, community leaders, police officers, businesses and the general public.

Miramar PAL wants to make the best use of your TIME and TALENTS!
We offer Rewarding Opportunities for Volunteers who are eager and willing to share in our commitment to developing Youth Leaders in our community

Who makes a good volunteer?
Volunteers are a unique group of people who have committed themselves to the mission of an organization. They have zeal and a passion for making a difference and they can do more for an organization than the most efficient staff. A volunteer must be zealous, dedicated, tireless, hopelessly optimistic and steadfast in character and integrity.

YOU DO!

What Commitment Is Expected Of A Volunteer?

  • Only volunteer for duties that you are qualified or willing to perform.
  • Inform MIRAMAR PAL if your schedule or hours of availability changes.
  • Be pleasant, polite and helpful with others at all times.
  • Participate in training as it is offered and/or required.
  • Follow through on commitments:
  • Commitment to providing a safe environment for our youth.
  • Commitment to providing youth activities which foster wholesome competitiveness, responsible values and academic achievement.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.
  • Keep track of your hours.

After you complete the initial application and screening procedures, you will be notified by a Miramar PAL representative to discuss volunteer assignments, location and work schedule that will be suitable to you.
